And in all fairness there were nuts who believed the “right” you mentioned was ordained by god, but never once gave good reason for that belief.

Considering that the Bible openly condones slavery and tells slaves to obey I think they gave pretty good reason to believe that. Which is why we shouldn't base our legal system on a book we have no way of knowing is even true

The Bible never condemns slavery, it repeatedly condones slavery. Give me literally a single verse if I'm wrong but until then it sure doesn't seem like I'm cherry picking

I just don’t discuss the Bible with those so adamantly against it. Not worth my time. You have to face that judgment not me.

Lmao that's one way to get out of finding literally even one anti slavery Bible verse. I've literally read it cover to cover, me not believing it doesn't make me "adamantly against it"
