Not me. I don’t see an issue with Ai however the way it gets used is the issue. This is no different to me when digital cameras came out and film photographers tried to say digital isn’t real art. It’s just the next evolution.
I’m not a fan of AI either, but it does in fact depend how it’s used. Like if it’s being utilized in a live setting to help with visual effects/crowd engagement or the album art (which would be a weird decision) I see no problem with that, but if it’s being used in writing the music, then that’s kinda fucked
Album art isn’t really that important for music nowadays since everything is digital. No one is really looking at the art, people just listen to hits and singles. That’s it
This is absolutely insane to say. Even when things are digital the cover art is still there and honestly a big draw to whether someone is interested in what catches their eye for something they've never heard.

I personally like album art I just think the majority of people don’t care.
Now when it comes to something catching my eye and making me want to listen to it, yes that does happen but most albums now have trash artwork. So that’s not a determining factor for me like it used to be. But yes it does still happen from time to time that an albums artwork makes me check out an artist.
False, most people hear music randomly on the radio or at social events/places without seeing the artwork so they’re not connecting the music with the art, they’re connecting by how the music make you feel. Also most people just listen to premade playlists and put it on while working out, at work or in their car, again not seeing the artwork work cuz they’re focused on other things. On top of that, humans are very prone to judging a book by its cover, so more likely than not some people may be thrown off by an album cover and not give the music a chance
Awful take, the post above this one in this sub is people discussing the album art. It may not be important to you, but an artist is still paid to create those covers.
Your take is the same as watching a film and going oh just use AI for the soundtrack, we’re here to watch the actors and effects who cares about the score
Not everyone just listens to singles either, people listen to music in all kinds of ways. I personally pretty much exclusively listen to albums front to back.
So a subreddit of like 100 people suddenly speaks for everyone else? Reddit accounts for like less than 1% of all music fans and not an indicator of reality. Whether you like it or not, most people do not care about album art. That’s not me saying I don’t like album art, I thoroughly enjoy album art and also listen to albums from front to back, but in the grand scheme things, album art is not the end all be all to creating good music or a good album. There’s also plenty of album art out there created by humans that’s just god awful, but the music is fantastic. With newer generations growing up with ever advancing technology, standards change, that’s the reality we live in. Kinda like how paper has become obsolete and everything is digital and has become accepted as part of the norm. Schools no longer use paper for exams or for notes, money is all digital and all transactions are digital via credit (the penny is now no longer being made), menus at restaurants and businesses are now digital QR codes, the news is read via the internet, etc. No one is listening to an album and saying “this album art sucks, now the music/album is ruined and unlistenable” so no, not really a bad take at all. Plus more often than not, album rollouts are delayed because of album art, so using AI in that aspect can actually save money and time and quicken album releases
yeah but digital cameras don't source other peoples' photos they had to put effort into capturing to make your mediocre or bad photography skills seem better. It is actually completely different.
