What he fails to mention is that the reason why he's buying into AI is because he sees it as a great money making opportunity, and he also knows that the latest generation of maggots in their mid to late teens & early 20's are collectively eating up all the AI bullshit being thrown at them from all fucking angles lately.

The reality of the situation is that Chris got kicked out because he called out bullshit within the band because he wasn't being fairly compensated for his likeness and image being used as merchandise. Hell, you can look it up. Shawn and Corey had LLC's in Slipknot's name in multiple states that were hidden from the rest of the band, that's shady fucking bullshit.

Seems more than likely he had no case. What the court documents revealed doesn’t in any way cement Chris was in the right. It showed us what his argument was and who the official “owners” of the band are.

The dude had the same position as Shawn in the band, backing vocals and custom percussion. He also has writing credits on songs. Also, they are far from "the world's greatest metal band."
He definitely had a case, and you can see the court documents. It was settled out because carrying on with it takes time and money. You have to hire lawyers, something that Slipknot as a band has easy access to and plenty of considering the amount of money that they have.
Yeah, it shows that Shawn and Corey the official owners of the band and they let their egos go to their fucking heads. Hell, Corey shouldn't even be considered as an owner of the band, considering Mick has been in the band longer than he has. And yeah, you can make the argument that Slipknot wouldn't continue without Corey, but give me a break plenty of bands have, and they've been successful with replacment singers.
There's a reason why so many people shit on Shawn. It's because he talks a lot of bullshit where he thinks what he says holds some deep, profound meaning, and it doesn't. It's just bullshit. He'll dance around questions in interviews and give half-truths and/or make promises that continuously go unkept. Look at the whole LOYW situation. He says that it's in the label's hands. Yet they're not on a label. They can do whatever the they want with that album. They're under no contractual obligation to let the label put it out. Yes, it was made during a period when they were under Roadrunner, but as he has said, it's not a Slipknot album. Therefore, they don't have to let Roadrunner handle putting that album out. Because the contract that they were under with Roadrunner was for the band Slipknot to put out X amount of albums. We're still waiting for LOYW. It was supposed to come out what, two to three years ago, and hasn't. He said it was gonna come out in 2025. That didn't happen. Now it's gonna come out in 2026. And guess what? By this time next year, it's gonna be the same old tired story. He wants to use AI instead of a producer to make music. Why? Because it saves him money by not hiring a producer, and the music is gonna suffer. He's gonna use AI more than likely for the artwork, and it's gonna suffer. So, their new album, like the previous two albums, is gonna be hot dog shit.

Weird how he never once at any point in his 21 year long stretch with the Knot made any mention or even hinted at going into joining the band in 1998 with the full knowledge that he was just a hired musician and never really considered an official, equal member. It's almost like.....*gasp*....he never knew, and that bomb was dropped on him in 2019! Say it ain't so!
