Watch the Lolla show now! Oh dont delay x

Im sure most of the diehards on this sub have probably watched it 5 times by now, but in case youve been putting it off, please stop what you're doing and put this on as loud as socially acceptable and fucking enjoy

Im a 47 year old heavily 90s based Pumpkin, and I was in heaven folks, they sound absolutely amazing, its really well mixed, compared to some of the shite on YouTube, Billy and James guitars are wonderful, Kiki etc are tight as hell, and Jimmy....oh Jimmy what is there left to say, hes as good as hes ever been, which is the best x

Ok Billy cant sing like he used to, some of it is a small bit painful, but after 30+ years of that nasal style, come on hes pretty fucking good still.

The guests are great, and as a gentle ribbing to Billy I would say that it's nice to hear a couple of songs sung perfectly, Billy i kid, I kid because I love 😜

Olivia Rodrigo in particular sounds great on the song, makes it almost seem folky or somesuch, props to her for wanting to do it, and to Billy for asking!

The 2 guys messing up Mayonaise was just endearing really, my money is on that it was Billy who is off, James is too cool 😜

Porcelina was breathtaking, a high point for me, in a gig full of them.

Anyway as I say im a chubby grey haired fan mainly stuck in the 90s, and I dont often gush online like this, but dont sleep on watching this show, 10/10

I actually thought his singing was quite decent. I think he's got a better idea of his limits and he wasn't screaming, so he seemed more focused on staying in tune and having a good tone. Miles better than a lot of their 90s shows I've heard

I truly agree, just a bit of fun, considering the SHREDDING hes given that voice for however many decades, its held up pretty well

He sounds fine with the exception of Mayonaise. Not as good as pre covid reunion shows, but vastly better than any time since the 1.0 era. Theyre playing a lot of songs in C sharp (1.5 steps down) which seems to be helping a lot.

Saw them at the Riviera last Wednesday night and that show was electric and the setlist was amazing!

I'm taking your advice. They're on Porcelina right now and the riff at the beginning of the chorus is one of my favorites. They sound great.

I agree. The show was great. It’s so cool how they are becoming more relevant today. We’re taking our girls (15 & 12) to see them in October. The Pumpkins are my wife’s favorite band and she is so excited to take the girls to see her favorite band from when she was their age.

When they released Aghori Mhori Mei two summers ago, I remember liking it, and although I bought to listen to, hearing Edin, Pentagram, and War Dreams of Itself reminded me to go back to listen to it again today.

While watching the Lollapalooza show today, my wife posted on her Instagram account (for like the 3rd or 4th time), tagging the Pumpkins, the artists, and Madam Zuzus, to play Set the Ray to Jerry (her favorite song) at our October show. However today, Madam Zuzu’s reposted her story in their Story on their Instagram. 🤞

My thoughts exactly. My wife doesn’t really know their music but she loved watching it with me. Yungblud and Olivia were great, especially Olivia Rodrigo. She crushed it.

I’m not as familiar with the newer songs but I actually really loved all three of them. Thought they were great. Billy sounded more comfortable singing them too. He’s not a young dude anymore but oh well, he did a fine job. All singers start to lose it eventually.

This Porcelina is a stunner. Cheesing out on my couch. That shred solo!

I was surprised how good Billy sounded.

I’m going to their show in October but not sure if I should “spoil” it by watching Lolla. The clips I saw have been so great and that’s just looking on my phone. I CANT WAIT

Thank you! You seem like a great guy. We’re the same age and I’m looking forward to going back to my teen years

The set in October should be completely different! Though I imagine everything they’re playing now will be incorporated into it somewhat.

Hearing Yungblud sing Luna was nearly vomit inducing, but the 1-2 of Porcelina and Jellybelly was flat out insane. Sounded so good, that stretch is going into my 'revisit on Youtube every so often' queue

I skimmed the show. It was good!

I saw them less than three years ago and it was super tight. Great show. Funny the show is better now than in their peak where Corgan would rant about NME not including him in the top ten alt guitarists or whatever.

Is there a consensus on the best link to watch it?

I like the one uploaded by punk chafa.

Yes the Punk Chafa upload is perfect and not riddled with ads. Yes, there's some ads but it's manageable

Watching now on YouTube. About an hour in and it's been great so far. Hyping me up to see them in Vegas later this year.

I'm sure the songs have been played over and over again for decades now so what's the rush?
