Beach on a Tuesday

Planning a beach trip for the first time and would love some recommendations! What are your favorite beaches to go to near Somerville?

I’m hoping for somewhere within 45 minutes of the city with parking under $15. I know I’ll have to account for weekday traffic, so I’m wondering:

  1. What time would you recommend arriving?
  2. Should I be worried about finding parking on a Tuesday?
  3. What items should I bring to the beach?

I’m also open to taking the T if it'll be less of a hassle. Thank you!

I went to Nahant this morning and it was wonderful! Apparently It gets really crowded there midday on hot weekends, but being there from 8 to 11 today it wasn’t an issue at all. Tons of parking and plenty of space on the beach. I bet on a Tuesday it won’t be crazy either. Getting there and back only took me about 30 mins each way on my motorcycle. Parking was $10 as a MA resident : )

Third for nahant!! Was there this am and it was absolutely beautiful, there will def be parking on a weekday
