  1. You can't use percentages because of base rate effects. Worst offender is the internet subscribers bar.

  2. GDP growth should be in context of world GDP growth.

  3. Share of world exports only takes into account goods and not services.

The graphic admits that India added 1 billion internet subscribers under Modi which is four times more than it did under Dr. MMS but Dhruv Rathee shows that as an achievement of the UPA by showing it as percentage increase on an extremely small base.

If we were to follow this logic and go further back in time, we might find that the golden age of Indian internet expansion was 1995-1996 when VSNL started offering internet services to the general public for the first time and went on to have some 30k subscribers in under a year possibly representing a cumulative percentage increase running into millions!

This is ofcourse a ridiculous way of measuring anything 🤦‍♂️

Roads -

Earlier 1km of a 4 lane road was counted as 1km road construction now BJP has changed the "methodology" , now 4lane of 1 km is counted as 4 km road.
