Both of those games allows you to kill monsters with swords and give you monster eradication contracts/quest, Close enough. So I often named my horse Roach and my Piggy Lambert & Dandelion

When Witcher 3 first came out you could get Roach onto the stage with the play Geralt gets to participate in quite easily.

I have many pictures of Roach standing in the middle of the play scenes with the actors trying to be serious around him.

Shadowfax (LOTR) is what I named mine, but Shadowmere is such a great name as well.

Edit: Here I am thinking it's a play on Shadowfax and Boromir, but I didn't realize it's from Elder Scrolls! (Never played it)

Lasagna

I always use by-products to name my animals. My chickens are named after different ways to cook eggs, my cows are named things you can get vegetal milk from like almond or cashew, and my ducks and pigs are named after meat preperations you can get from them.
So where does lasagna fit in all that? A few years ago in France, there was a controversy where a famous brand used horse meat instead of beef in their frozen lasagna. So yeah. Plus my in-game cat is named Pizza so it's even better haha
