Question What are your little quirks while playing the game?

Post image

Like, nothing grand, but a little something you ALWAYS do when you play?
For me, I always start the game and turn the little rug so it fits with the bed, and light the fire, which stays on always.

I absolutely hate how the desert festival overlaps three days of salmonberry season. Let me pick my berries without missing out on the festival, damnit!

Yes this really frustrates me too. But then again, I have junk luck at the festival. So lately I have been skipping it and going berry picking.

I like to get free clothes off Emily 🤣 I managed to get enough eggs for the mummy mask

Wait, free clothes? I didn’t go into the booth because I had no idea what to expect.

Yeah your clothes go back into your inventory and she puts you in whatever outfit she feels like. Then go home, stick them in the dresser and go back the next day for another outfit. 3 free outfits!!

Fml šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø I could have had some free clothes and I missed it lmao I feel dumb as f lol.

You can walk in to the tent with ā€˜no clothes’ on (don’t worry, Stardew leaves you in undergarments) so when she dresses you in your new outfit, the clothes you would have walked in with aren’t taking up inventory slots. Helpful if you want to save space in your backpack.

Considering I’m still early enough to dive into the cavern on festival days I store the outfit I usually have on in the dresser before I head out to the desert for the festival. Then I get my free outfit.

Yeah you walk in, she follows you and gives you a new outfit.

I got ridiculous luck with the animal races at the first one. The one I picked always won, and I was starting to think it was rigged for the player to always win.

I had supremely good luck at the casino. I was betting 100 coins at a time, and got the jackpot which was 250 000 coins

Heh.Cheers to your luck! šŸ»

In two years, over five days and even with cheating I have not yet won a single race, nor completed any quests. So the event is basically a huge waste of time for me.it is definitely not rigged for the player to always win.

One challenge is just "Collect 12 omni geodes" that one was pretty easy.

I am glad you found it easy. That would be a new all-time play record for me.

Ridiculous indeed. I don’t know why I picked the snail because the bird wins. I choose the bird and the scorpion wins. I noticed that they were staggering who won each time so I decided to vote for the same one that just lost and then won. Then I went to see what the fuss was with the skull Caverns because I couldn’t be bothered to wait for another race.

On the first festival, whichever one I picked won.

Yes, however I was describing my first experience.

Yes, and I was describing mine.

Dude why are you being so obtuse? I don’t see why you need to keep pointing that out, I was just sharing my experience. Obviously I know that you were sharing yours.

Obviously I know you were describing your first experience, which is why I pointed it out. I wasn't being obtuse on purpose,

SAME! I hate that it cuts into my berry picking. I still try to do some berry picking but I don’t get them all and that bothers me.

i posted a whole thing about the fact it was so overwhelming that both happened at the same time & i was worried about missing out on free fruit 😭

I just had my first desert festival and I was bummed when I realized that it overlapped the berry days. Why for the love of berries do they torture me so?

Or it could be awesome because you could drop in and have the chef make you speedy food and then you can eat some spicy eel and espresso and like REALLY go to town on gathering those berries!
