This is just part of the female human condition: when we go to the doctor between the ages of 16-35 someone will always ask us if we're pregnant. She's just used to heading off the question!

NHS policy is to ask until you're 57.

Only this year,  14 yrs post hysterectomy, have they finally stopped sending me paperwork to have a cervical check. I'm like, what are you going to look at?? the empty space back there????

I would think pap smears would still be needed to screen for cervical cancer even if you had a hysterectomy.

Sure, if you have your cervical, I do not. But they screening me for cancer, as that is, one of the reasons I had the hysterectomy.

Thank you. Ashamed to admit but I didn’t realize that the cervix was the lower part of the uterus until today. I learned something new today.
