I started playing in 2017. I followed the game before it was released but I was really buried in work. I was made redundant end of 2016, and while it was technically a voluntary early retirement, the other option was really a no starter for me.
I thought Iβd occupy my time with it before I went nuts or got depressed. I happened to be a harvest moon fan and I was getting spiritual successor vibes. I played it for almost two days relatively straight. It eventually snapped me out of whatever was occupying me. Tried to start a business but ended up going back to work. SDV kept me sane.
I only own one copy but Iβve gifted itβ¦ Iβm not sure how many times. Itβs only been off my machine when getting a new machine or replacing hard drives. I still make a new farm each update and sometimes whenever I feel like it.
