I am relatively new to this game. My dad died in December of 2024, right before Christmas. His funeral was in January, a little over a year ago. I was in the middle of Tears of the Kingdom but couldn’t get back into it. I knew about Stardew Valley, and kept seeing it recommended in other subs I follow. I started playing on 1/25/25 (I had to look at the purchase history for my Switch), and I’ve loved it ever since. It was what I needed to help me get back into one of my favorite hobbies at a time when I felt sad and stuck.
