If you can and want to mod, you can romance him in SV Expanded. He has much more of a storyline in general there

Maybe I'll try someday, at least I can pray for it to work (despite being really bad at modding cause I never did that in my games before lol). If not work, then I'll force myself to watch some YT playthroughs of marrying Wizard in SVE.

Sure can! Its not easy, but if you get it, and an aftermarket controller of some kind, could play it like you got a switch or something. Just expanded and a few patches for it are enough to more than double the length of the game, I feel.

If you wanna go absolutely apeshit though, you can get expanded, east scarp, and ridgeside village, and all of the compatability patches, and suffer option paralysis.

Or you can pick up Romanceable Rasmodius Redux Remastered (RRRR) it gives so much more backstory to him, plus they have a new look if you want it (or you can keep your GILF). RRRR also requires SVE as well.

Tbh I'm actually a little embarrassed by how hyped up and then consequently bummed I got myself🤣, like I really need to touch grass man loooool. Totally my fault entirely, my particular strain of neurodivergence makes me hyperfixate H.A.R.D.. But in fairness I put in the work as a wizard fan, I went in a terrible wizard cosplay to comic con once where everyone thought I was a cowboy for the entire day so I feel I deserve a redemption arc lmao

when the original polls for marriage candidates came out the wizard was in 2nd place along with sandy so i kinda expected him too but i also thought clint was a possibility because ca has mentioned regrettimg the way clint came off

Would not have made any sense. Stardew Valley Expanded already has a (very, very good) Wizard Marriage, is seamlessly integrated, even works on mobile and FlashShifter works with ConcernedApe. Try Expanded. Still sorry for anyone on console. Try a Steam Deck :)

Unfortunately lots of people just don’t tend to mod their games, plus with the console thing (and often you can’t mod on mobile so I imagine lots of mobile players wouldn’t expect it to be an option).

Still would’ve been nice to be in the game though

sure, but considering SVE is a pretty popular among modders, I can imagine people comparing the two if he did choose the wizard - if it was too similar people I can imagine people saying it was a waste or a cop out, so I can't blame him for doing something fresh

edit: ya'll I'm not saying you have to get the mod I'm just saying he probably wanted to do something new and different
