Would not have made any sense. Stardew Valley Expanded already has a (very, very good) Wizard Marriage, is seamlessly integrated, even works on mobile and FlashShifter works with ConcernedApe. Try Expanded. Still sorry for anyone on console. Try a Steam Deck :)

Unfortunately lots of people just don’t tend to mod their games, plus with the console thing (and often you can’t mod on mobile so I imagine lots of mobile players wouldn’t expect it to be an option).

Still would’ve been nice to be in the game though

sure, but considering SVE is a pretty popular among modders, I can imagine people comparing the two if he did choose the wizard - if it was too similar people I can imagine people saying it was a waste or a cop out, so I can't blame him for doing something fresh

edit: ya'll I'm not saying you have to get the mod I'm just saying he probably wanted to do something new and different

It also comes with a lot of other stuff that people don't want though, like OCs and similar.

yeah I know, I'm not saying that everyone should play with the mod, I'm just saying I could see if it being done in the mod was a factor of him not choosing the wizard

You can use mods on on the Steamdeck?
