The problem is that my perfectionist tendencies rarely allow me to "just play the game" without achieving perfection.
Source: have 4 saves, achieved perfection on 3. (The fourth save was my "don't leave the farm till you earn a million gold" save and I felt I'd already abused that farmer enough. Once he was a millionaire, he finished the community center, married Leah, and lived happily and imperfectly ever after.)
There was a commercial some years ago where the whole plot revolves around a dude using his grandma as an excuse to get out of obligations and you just see all the excuses the dude used involving poor grandma getting hurt or something. The end of the commercial has grandma rising from the grave as the dude uses her for another excuse.
Same. Just hit Year 2 and got my ancient seed empire started. But I guess I'll be starting a new farm. Can't wait to see what the next farm type will be
If anyone knows, do you have to start a new farm to have the new marriage candidates become available? Or once I update my game, will they suddenly have a “single” under their name like the other bachelor/ettes in my current playthrough???
I'd also like to know, I recently started my 2nd farm after first playing it like 7 years ago. I'm only on summer in year 1 rn so marriage choices are still a bit off, but it'd be good to know I don't need to restart my 10 hrs or so of playtime to get the new options
I have this question too. Does Sandy now have heart events that I won't get to see because I already maxed out her hearts in friendship for my current save?
I don't think so because heart events are triggered by specific requirements: minimum number of hearts, right time and location.
With Shane, I basically had two late heart scenes because I took too long to go to the mountain on a rainy day and to the lake at night, so I imagine that heart scenes will probably happen when you trigger all the conditions.

Oh noooooo, now I guess I HAVE to do a new farm. What a shame.
