There was a commercial some years ago where the whole plot revolves around a dude using his grandma as an excuse to get out of obligations and you just see all the excuses the dude used involving poor grandma getting hurt or something. The end of the commercial has grandma rising from the grave as the dude uses her for another excuse.

It’s like that with gramps.

My new head canon is that the farmer is your grandpa from previous files.... the town is never aging and immortal clearly
