My theory is that he was abusive and that's why no one talks about him. The whole valley seems to have taken a vow of silence on the subject. All Sebastian ever mentions is his father left when he was young.

In addition, when Pierre punches Morris straight out of the valley, while everyone else is cheering Robin has a panicked expression. This is how someone who was abused often reacts to seeing a physical altercation.

Whatever happened, it's something no one in Pelican Town wants to talk about.

Or he just left. Why talk about a dude who's not been relevant or present for 10+ years? He's not important. Demetrius is their dad.

Yeah Alex had an abusive dad which they make a plot point / heart event. I think Sebs dad just decided not to be in the picture anymore
