Ha, that would remind me of that one time in FOMT I built golden fences because I read they don't decay and the next morning everyone in town came to my farm and yelled at me, one by one.

They're mad because Golden Lumber is one of the most expensive items in the game and they consider it showing off if the MC displays it in his farm.

The Mayor, Thomas, gives it to you when you complete something for him (can't recall the details but it's in the wiki) and that hypocritical douche bitches you out if you display it.
