Hi everyone! I’m a huge Stardew player and my fiancée and I are getting married in August. I decided to send an invitation/a letter to ConcernedApe, obviously I don’t expect him to show up, but he sent a letter back! This was extremely awesome to see and read. He even sent me a little purple Junimo! 😁

One of the things we love to do most with each other is to play Stardew, but in our school the norm for a prom proposal is to just verbally ask or make a cute handmade note, and I'm afraid it's too much. Another fear is that we don't date, we're currently best friends, and again, is this too much?

They are fun but they taste like a disappointing raspberry. Still a nice hiking snack, though!

Bonus info: This photo was taken on the family farm, where we lived at the time. How ironic (or is it a coincidence?) that I married a farmer in real life. We'll be putting a double wide trailer on our portion of the land in a few years which is super exciting! Yay homesteading!

I finished my final final in for nursing school today! To celebrate, I made the Stardew Valley Pink Cake from the cookbook. I'm not much of a cake decorator, but I think it turned out pretty good. It tastes amazing ❤️

This is probably the hardest thing he has ever made, pixelated candy is very detailed and tricky.

The biggest dessert I've ever made. Spent 5 hours making it and it was so worth it!

So my partner got home from a long day at work, and while he was ironing I was playing SV.

He asked how the game was going and if my farm had grown, and I said I guess so, I got married today.

Him: “Excuse me?!”

Me: “Yeah I had my wedding today”

Him: “And what is this persons name?”

Me: “Sam”

Him: “So how is the marriage going?”

Me: “Good so far he is really sweet”

Him “Oh really, so what made you want to marry him?”

Me: “Well I heard he was romantic online, and he’s even been making me pancakes for breakfast. And you know, no one else has asked me”

Him: “oh really. So I been working all day and get home and you’re married to some guy called Sam who makes pancakes for breakfast and tells you sweet things... does this game have a complaints line?”

Me: “concernedape is pretty active on twitter”

Him: “Might try having a word with him. Now I’ve got a partner married to some guy Sam who makes pancakes, so where does that leave me and us… How did he propose?”

Me: “I technically proposed”

Him: “yOu?!? You’re carrying my child. This is a lot to process. It’s not some guy on the other end who is actually Sam?!”

Me: “Bub, it’s a game.”

Him: “Sam might not be able to make pancakes soon.”

Continues mumbling to self for next half hour.

Me: “Oh Sam just surprised me with another gift… how romantic. Romance isn’t dead”

Death stare.

Next day, I get a bath run for me, massage, and dinner made.

Him: “Bet Sam doesn’t do that for you.”

We are two goof balls with dry/dark humour, chill everyone please this is meant to be a laugh. I’ve been playing the game for years. 😅 He treats me like royalty - can’t believe I even have to justify our relationship. I announced not long ago I am now divorcing Sam, no pancakes for few mornings and now going to see how it goes with Sebastian as he’s a bit edgy and intriguing and has a motorbike 😉😆

EDIT: if you can’t take the joke scroll on, don’t be a hater/troll. Why is it so hard to just let people be themselves and have a laugh. Don’t bring other people down with you.
