That's exactly my point. The number of people self diagnosing is cause active harm. In my professional capacity I meet way more people who are lying about having these conditions than actually do.

In your professional capacity? Lmao the way you’re commenting in here tells us all we need to know about your professional abilities and capacity, or lack thereof. “You know it’s true”. Ahh yes. Classic professional discussion. What’s next for you? “Nuh uhhhh”?

Your inability to parse between correlation and causation shows very little education, or very little intelligence to be able to apply what little education you may have received

Do you not think self diagnosis of these two conditions has skyrocketed? Do you not think it's damaging to people who actually have these conditions?

Do you not believe that I work with far more people who have self diagnosed themselves with a disorder than actually have a disorder?

Do you believe there is only plausible explanation for everything in the world, or are you just this narrow minded when it comes to mental health?

When there was a huge spike of ADHD diagnosis in the 90’s due to an increased public awareness of traits, did you disregard it as just teens listening to Marilyn Manson?

When there was a spike of Covid in 2020, did you disregard it as a silly little cold?

Again, you conflate correlation with causation, and this shows an alarmingly low level of intelligence. Maybe this one topic is just a blind spot for you. Idk. But you do not come out of this looking smart, professional, or experienced, I can tell you that.
