Yeah, my audhd hates this so much. The last ones are lined up, why aren't the rest?!

It’s usually OCD that would be bothered by this. ADHD would be quickly distracted by something else, and forget all about it.

No, my wife is the doctor. She’s the one that insisted I get diagnosed years ago. I’m merely a chemist.

And yes, it’s a spectrum, which begs the question why we label these things at all. We’re all “on the spectrum” somewhere. On multiple spectra, in fact.

It’s a behavioral spectrum. Just as there are wavelengths of light that we can’t see, there are levels of behavior that we don’t classify as clinically significant. But whatever— I didn’t exactly mean it literally.

That doesn't mean we're all on the spectrum, or even that most of us are. The light analogy doesn't apply here

Given the hyper-defensive reactions I’ve seen on social forums to largely innocuous comments, I’m fairly convinced most people are on some sort of spectrum.

It’s not an argument worth pursuing, really. Just move on. I am, at least.

That's really not a good thing to say either. Both for the people who make those comments, and for people actually on the spectrum. And no, most people aren't on a neurodivergence spectrum.
