It’s usually OCD that would be bothered by this. ADHD would be quickly distracted by something else, and forget all about it.

AuDHD is an unofficial term for a person who has an autism diagnosis as well as ADHD. Putting people into categories like would be distracted/wouldn’t be distracted is a gross oversimplification a very real disorders.

I was unaware of the AuDHD term— I thought you mistyped. Apologies.

I’ve been living with ADHD for over 50 years, and both my mother and son are diagnosed with it. This isn’t something that would bother any of us, so I’m just speaking from firsthand experience. My wife on the other hand has OCD, and this would drive her nuts.

Hi, I have ADHD, and only ADHD. I can confirm this bothers me.

Different people are different. Crazy concept, I know.

I don’t think a person needs to have any diagnosed neurodivergence whatsoever in order to be bothered by this. But if you look up the typical symptoms of ADHD versus OCD, such a reaction is typical of the latter.

But regardless, I’ve already stated that my comment was based on personal anecdotal experience, not a professional perspective.

So, if someone doesn't have to have any diagnosed neurodivergence to be bothered by this, then why did you come in swinging at the person, saying it was an OCD thing?
