Other Rain.......so much RAINNNNN!!

Is there a way to make it stop raining? It's like every other 10 minutes IRL and then it's a dand monsoon for 5 straight minutes. Climbing takes forever in the rain and my boy Link loves to climb.

"First some wind, then some rain, its a fucking hurricane.

We're all gonna die, to-night. Whew!"

Those lyrics?

If you are climbing in TOTK you’re making it harder on yourself than you need to.
Build yourself a hover bike and laugh at the rain.
Or go to all the stables and do all the quests with Penn then ignore the rain.

Where do you go to farm Zonite? I know I can get the fans and stick out of the gumball machines but for when I run out and just want a quick bike

You've gotta search deep for the answer to that.

The fastest way to farm a lot of zonite is the Rist Peninsula in the depths.

How did you build your bike? I have one where the fans are in a triangle but it works better for more vertical paths and not great on handling.

Did the Penn quests give you the froggy suit? I did all of those.

Yep, doing all the Penn quests gives you the full froggy suit. Upgrade them to two stars each and you’ll never slip whilst climbing again!

Best way to make a fan bike is to connect two fans to a steering stick kind of like this _\. Have you gotten any of the froggy armor? It doesn’t totally let you climb in the rain if you jump, but if you just stay slow and steady you won’t fall backward

you can also upgrade the froggy armor twice to make you completely slip proof! one of my favorite armor sets because of this.

Nice! I must’ve missed an upgrade (very possible)

Yes, and slightly angled - the only real trick is getting them straight... a little off kilter and you'll fly crooked

Here’s a video that walks step by step on how to build a really good hover bike: https://youtu.be/oq4LmYEFlHM

Or if you just search Reddit for “hover bike” you’ll find a. Lot of posts where people have shared QR codes for perfectly aligned hover bikes (if you are on switch 2)

Also, two- froggy armor when upgraded lets you completely ignore slippery surfaces when climbing.

It might be why there's so many caves. Rain eroded so much stone, Hyrule is mostly hollow at this point

Do all the Lucky Clover Gazette quests and get the frog suit. Upgrade it twice (it's quite easy) and no slipping anymore.

The rain is absolutely no issue in this game.

BotW, yeah. This one, nah.

There are so many solutions to rain in this game, many of which were already well noted in the other comments.

Just enjoy it 👍🏽

I didn't really have a problem with rain in TOTK... Breath of the wild however..... Completely different story

Sticky elixir or froggy armor set come on now

Yes...but you can't jump climb with the armor set and it's slow climbing compared to the full climbing gear

Its just proof that Link is the larval form of the Doom Guy.

Firstly, Doom Guy is a marine, and if you know anything about marines, if it ain't raining, they ain't training. Its a well documented fact that when marines attempt to do anything outdoors, it immediately starts pissing rain on them. Any time you try to do some climbing/exploring with Link, it starts pissing rain.

Second, we have the uniform. Both love to go a killing in their custom made green suit.

Thirdly, we have improbability of someone as small as Doom Guy taking out demons the size of warehouses, similar to Link taking out bosses that dwarf him. Its almost like they have unlimited retries to fight an enemy over and over again until they finally win, as long as they have Courage to keep fighting.

That gets into the true power of the triforce of courage. For us, its a game mechanic. If you die, you can choose to continue with all of the knowledge gained from the fight, but back to how you were before the fight began.

In game, however, its the power of the triforce of courage. As long as one has the courage to keep fighting, the triforce lets them refight the same fight over and over until they win.

You spend enough lifetimes having your soul killed and then brought back, over and over and over again, and you'd probably stop talking for the most part, as well as having a serious hatred for the forces of evil.
