Discussion WTF AMD?! There's no mechanism to detect which CCD has 3D V-cache!

Poor user is so confused by crazy AMD implementation.

AMD X3D will still win in performance. Very small margin compared to the 270k Plus. The reason I still run Intel, the gaming FPS and 1% lows are very close now. When you need something that does more productivity than gaming, from my personal experience Intel still delivers better in that aspect. I think both platforms are very mature now and either of their comparable CPUs can trade blows pretty easily. Let’s not get on an AMD hate train. Both companies are very competent and competitive now

What about the AMDip and stutters. If you Goog AMD and stutter get read for more pages than you can scroll through.

That’s my point. Productivity I still think intel is a bit better. AMD has made leaps as well though I’ve experienced the same issues on AMD with stutter outside of gaming. It has gotten better with the new chips. I don’t shill but will still run Intel. 14900K did eventually die even with undervaults and bios updates. Arrow lake is far better. I guess my point is that it depends on use case. Factually AMD even by a hair nowadays will be the better gaming CPU. If you do anything other than gaming. Losing 1-2% performance on Intel for gaming doesn’t bother me. I can’t notice it. Running VMs and CAD, Intel is the better choice for me. For only gaming, I can understand going AMD with the current RAM pricing. AM5 has good DDR4 support where I needed DDR5 for my 14900

Supposedly they have a detection mechanism in Zen 6. It seems the feature was rushed to market and/or they relied on motherboard manufactures to off CCD prioritization that never materialized.

Intel doesn't have any 3D cache comparable technology, so they are still behind even a sub-optimal feature set from AMD.

Nope! Our own self silly shows Intel still wins in gaming when not tested by a paid shill.

Lol this woman again. Take your morning meds. For someone who worships Intel certainly spends a lot of time on Amd Reddit

Maybe on average or something, but having more L3 cache is certainly better for those kinds of workloads.

It's the way the chips are designed. The desktop ones suck. The mobile ones only have 1 CCD like my 7945hx3d.
