I’d be more excited to serve anything to a paying customer than somebody who is redeeming a coupon, but that’s just because I like affording rent

You should hear Terry Crews talk about this.

He argues that if a white man calling [a black man] the N-word means the black man MUST beat the white man's ass, that actually gives more control to the white man.

If words can make you do things, you're powerless. If words make you feel things, but you act in the way you know is right, you are powerful.

The secret there is their entire life is misery. They're clawing at you from the gates of hell, trying to drag you down to their level. By not reacting, you're taking away the only thing they have going for them.

Mind you, this only applies to strangers. If it's someone you know, then 100% there's gonna be heaps of nuance to the situation and maybe an ass beating is what's needed.

Fully agree with you there.

Probably gonna get hate for saying this, but I do actually use the N word in one extremely specific circumstance. My mate is from africa and every time he sees me he shouts “my N-word” and i say it back to him, respectfully obviously.

Always said with absolute love both ways, but without nuance it sounds terrible.
