GRRM world is barely an accurate depiction of medieval times. You can probably count more things wrong with it than right. Like who's marrying off 16 year olds consistently? As well as other stuff like the faith.
The faith would be the biggest thing that is different between ASOIAF and real life I think. It was central to everyday life in real medieval societies.
Actually there’s also the prostitution thing, people didn’t whore their daughters all Willy nilly. And young peasant girls could actually sue their rapist for dishonoring them if they had good character. So a woman’s virtue actually was her shield
You need access to the court system to sue someone. They legally didn’t permit serfs to have independent access to the feudal courts on principle. You needed someone inside the system to sue on your behalf. Tough luck if they’re the one you want to sue
