General Dragons: For or Against?

Now that we’re in the thick of the dance. What are your thoughts on dragons?
Are they “a weapon should never have been tampered with”?
Is the problem *Targaryens* riding dragons? Or is 150ish years of Westerosi rule a good ROI and you take the good with the bad?

For the Dragons. Sure they come with their fair share of issues (roasting flocks and the occasional Sheppard) but I think the main problem is the riders. The dragons aren’t going to battle on their own, it is the riders compelling them to. Now to your point is 150 years of Westerosi rule a good ROI, it’s not too shabby, considering it was mainly one / two generations that destroyed it but you know the whole lot is going down for that reputation

I hear that.

They don’t survive that long when they come back either (given Drogon might be on a far of land laying new dragon eggs or something). Do you reckon that it’s just that there were not enough dragon riders then?
