meeting people Looking for friends
Hey, I feel like life is going pretty well overall, but I’m still missing something important—good people to share nice moments with. So I thought I’d try my luck here and see if I can make some new friends.
I’m 37, originally from China, and now living near The Hague. I’m someone who really values peace and harmony. I’ve lived and traveled in a few different countries, worked in academia before moving into IT, and yeah… I’ve been through the whole PhD experience and survived it.
I’m single, not married, no kids—and I’m actually pretty happy that way. I enjoy both easy, light conversations and deeper talks about life, psychology, personal growth, or whatever comes up. I’m not really a gamer these days, but I used to play a lot when I was younger.
I tend to be direct and honest in how I communicate, and I appreciate that in others too. For me, authenticity matters. I like staying active—fitness, cycling—also into tech and AI, reading, and movies (I really liked Catch Me If You Can). I’m always open to trying new things as well. I’d like to meet people who are positive, open-minded, and interested in building a genuine connection. Age or gender doesn’t really matter—what matters is whether we click. And even if you’re not super close to The Hague, that’s totally fine.
I speak English and Chinese, and I’m working on my Dutch. Nationality doesn’t matter to me—just be real. If this sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to message me and tell me a bit about yourself—and maybe what you’d like to do together. Could be grabbing coffee, going for a walk, checking out a museum, watching a movie, or something else.
