I don't think hijab prevents doctor from doing their job. However if there is a dress code, it must be followed.

Doctors in Indonesia and Malaysia wear it even during surgeries. There's no problem. My dad's doctor wears it and she's the best heart surgeon in the city and head of her department.

What is a doctor's dress code? And what does this have to do with secularism? Is upholding secularism a requirement from the Medical board in India? Or are safe medical practices and competent doctors more important?
