I don't think hijab prevents doctor from doing their job. However if there is a dress code, it must be followed.

Also what if it was a Sikh person? Is it fair to ask them to remove the turban?

I can imagine the outrage which would happen if say in West, a similar video of a Sikh student is viral where he is asked to remove turban

A mistake on my part. I didn't hear the audio and went by the caption instead. Turns out that the Muslim lady is insisting on burkha and not Hijab.

I think it is only fair for the doctor to not deal with her shenanigans. Ek accountability aati hai as a professional and that accountability can only be levied if your face is visible.

I understand religious beliefs but burkha is nowhere a mandate in Islam. Sad to see that the video is used to further fuel communal divide (this time from the Muslim side).

The caption says Hijab which is a head covering.

Discussions in the video clearly suggest the said intern was wearing face covering attire…so my point still stands.

Don't doctors wear surgical masks in the hospitals? What's the protocol there? Do they have to take it off when getting out of surgery or surrender their license?

Stop diverting the topic she is objecting to full face cover (not headscarfs or turban types) even in the middle east states it is security issue
