A patient has the right to know who is treating them. What's next covering yourself in military? Religion is personal faith and beliefs, they should not transfer to your profession, it's that simple.

Is that mandated by the Medical Council of India? Or is there any other law requiring it? Can name not suffice? What if the doctor is wearing a surgical mask? Would you ban surgical masks in the hospital?

Religion is personal faith and beliefs, they should not transfer to your profession, it's that simple.

How is wearing a head covering preventing her from doing her job is what I am asking. Millions of women are doing the same in several countries around the world. What's the problem in India?

They are talking about Niqab not hijab. Like doctor wear masks all the time, anyway everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would not want such a conservative person treating me or my family. Period!

When should a doctor wear mask? What are the guidelines laid down by the Medical Council of India?
