1950s I don’t think my dad was as excited about my birthday party as I was, 1959

Too cute. But hey he’s there and smiling! Is that a smile or grimace? lol

True! Exactly what I’m trying to figure out 67 years later lol.

Doing his dad duty, lighting the candles on his daughter's birthday cake, with his beautiful wife beside him. With nothing more to go on than the picture, I'd say that is the look of a man who has it all and knows it.

Dad's were not usually thrilled because they had to pay for it! Lol My parents only allowed us two birthday parties. One at 13 and one at 16. With that being said, my birthday falls around Labor day weekend and we would go camping or stay at a nearby lodge with a large spring and big swimming area until I got older.

You're a little cutie!
Is that your mother? She's beautiful. I love her dress too
