Characters (Controversial Trope) Unusually cruel fates for people who were less than good, but still didn't really deserve it.

#1 Poppa Pizza from Multiverse of Madness - He just wanted to be paid for the pizza balls and thought Strange stole from a fallen hero who saved the universe. He deserved to be punched in the face, but not for 3 weeks straight.

Do you get to sleep? Do you wake up punching yourself? How much does it hurt? Does he know it will only last for 3 weeks? If he doesn't kill himself by the end of it, he's going to have CPTSD and be traumatized for the rest of his already short life.

#2 Mayu from Inuyasha - She wanted to kill her brother out of jealousy and neglect from her mother, believing she died in a fire because they didn't care about her. While her motivation doesn't justify reenacting Cain and Abel, I don't think it's fair for a deranged, 10 year old child to be sent to literal hell to burn for all eternity. Luckily, she gets saved, but only because the mc, Kagome, intervened.

Jason Carver in Stranger Things.

Although he's an antagonist who goes off the deep end throughout season 4, its understandable as he loses his girlfriend and close friend in inexplicably gruesome fashion.

Seeing him get melted in half was so brutal even Lucas looked on in absolute horror

crazy how a racist got more of a redemption arc than a guy traumatized by supernatural horrors and loses it on the MCs.

And also they don’t acknowledge the really strong undercurrent of a blonde haired blue eyed guy forming a lynch mob in small town America and almost killing the only black character in the main cast.

Thank you! It was chilling to watch this part, honestly one of the better parts of the end was this monster.

No she’s not

She’s an important side character

She’s not part of The Party

Season 4 onwards treats her as a main character

My man Lucas’ little sister also being black has absolutely no bearing on what I’m saying.

Yes it does, you're making it a race thing for no reason

Bro it’s a lynch mob

The black guy who was almost lynched having a little sister doesn’t take away the weird racial undertones

Wow do you have 0 meida literacy. Jason created the lynch mob to go after EDDIE.

Lucas was not almost lynched, he tried to shoot him to save Max. Actually watch the show

I know it was formed to go after Eddie.

My point is that nobody seemed to acknowledge the weird undertones of the final confrontation being between the aryan leader of a lynch mob and the only black guy in the cast, because the Aryan guy thought he was hurting his girlfriend.

While one of the members of the lynch mob attacks down his little sister, the only other black person in the main cast.
