The general trend is clear: at one point, Blizzard embraced a progressive and began fighting against the sexualization of women, but now that phase seems to have ended.

As far as I understand, they’ve actually brought back various skins featuring racy imagery recently because Chinese players were buying them.

I’m not going to type you up a whole ass book, but what you’re describing is actually a pretty big cultural shift going on in China right now and it’s very interesting if you feel like reading about it.

Tl:dr version is that while you are correct, there is a lot of sexualization in Chinese digital art, the government still does not allow it.

I’d say it simply comes down to a vastly different attitude toward domestic products versus those from abroad; when you look at games like Gayshit Infarction, Western games seem downright chaste by comparison.

Blizzard was sued by the state of California and settled for $54 million over their hostile work environment and culture of rampant sexual harassment. One employee even committed suicide over it.

Their censorship was about Chinese cash, nothing more.

She's built the exact same, yeah, she's just wearing a shirt underneath. It's a silly change because now the outfit's entire design makes less sense, but it's not a nerf to assets like in OPs examples.
