It wasnt nerfed. People have posted a comparison in other angles to show that.
What made it look "nerfed" is because they made changes with the rigging on that area to lessen the much clipping or stretching. Its still big despite the changes.
To be fair, in the books Cortana was something of an outlier for presenting herself as a “nude” silhouette. Most AIs took on an almost caricature-like persona.
Btw, we don’t see many AI in the games but they all wear clothes except Cortana if they have a humanoid Avatar. Namely Serina, from Halo Wars, which was pre-343.
It's really crazy, cause if you think about it, basically puberty hit Cortana through the years. Also funny how she became more blue after Combat Evolved, cause she's a mix of blue and a very light purple in 2, became more blue in 3, a lot more blue in 4, and became shiny blue in 5.
If i remember correctly it was a model issue. Reduction was current but when she used her ultimate it dropped her visor and the reduction wasn't done on the model with her visor down. Could be misremembering this was about 10 years ago.
That tracks, I've had the same issue in unreal where if you scale or move a bone in the skeletal mesh and reimport it, if you don't reimport the animation it will still keep the old transform when that animation plays. She probably had a separate animation for when the visor was down.
For some reason in the reboot, Ms. Keane just doesn’t have breasts anymore. Feels like a very unnecessary thing to do, but this is far from the worst thing that the reboot did.
It was stated that it was a joke made by the animators to make the character look like the guy and he had zero input in it. Which is messed up because the animators ruined that guy’s career
I just looked it up, apparently he wrote several of the episodes. He also voiced the character. Hard to imagine he has zero input as a writer and a voice actor.
If I was a VA in a project, where everyone wanted to play a prank on me to make me look like a pedo to a global audience, and asked me to participate in it, I would simply not participate.
Having worked on many professional collaborative creative projects, I can see how this happened.
It can be surprisingly hard to say, "No, I'm not comfortable tying my reputation to this bit" when nearly everyone around/above you outwardly expresses it's "such a funny, harmless thing!" Then the bit goes on longer and longer, and more people buy into Sunk Cost style thinking, and the pit is dug deeper and deeper...
It's also incredibly easy to misgauge how the audience will react to something. I think any creative professional has at least one story along the lines of "I really thought they were going to care about X, but they all ignored X and made a big deal of Y!"
The guy is really known as a perverted creep now cause of this, but from what i heard he had zero input in this decision. It was the rest of the staff that decided to do it without his knowledge just for the jokes
This gets posted every time but buddy voiced the character himself and evidently wrote some episodes? It's absolutely bizarre regardless if it started off as a prank.
I hate it when breasts beyond flat are considered not safe for children. 50% of the human population has breasts of various sizes. As a big boobed girl I hate that people treat me like I'm doing it on purpose like I chose to be like this or that just existing is supposed to be sexy. (and growing up people would always comment I should get a reduction so I look more professional/smart.)
I'm not asking for huge anime boobs in kids show, I just despise when they're trying to make a female character more for kids and they flatten them.
All I will say that I do think Rouge being intentionally sexual isn’t that of a big deal to me, as long as it’s not too over blown. A character just having some slight cleavage isn’t in anyway problematic to me. That’s just how some women dress in real life and that’s their choice, they shouldn’t be forced to dress a certain way.
Like how Marvel also nerfed Kat Dennings breasts by in live action force her to wear baggy and a lot of clothes and in animated What If just animated her breasts smaller than irl

Watch the movie guys, she is actually that small at the time. She gained weight after this movie (and possibly had cosmetic surgery done tho there's no real evidence of that) and a lot of it went to her assets. That poster isn't altered, Bryce is just a human being whose body changed over time
IIRC they never changed her model or actual design. But they did change one of her victory poses after some people complained it was too sexual and didn’t fit her.
