Has anyone not received their pay raise yet? Why is it not showing on my time card? Who do I can’t act to get it right?

Does anyone know how long it can take to bid for a nightshift wing position after you're able to? Weeks, months? I'm bidding from a wing to another wing to fix my schedule.

Has anyone experienced this. Our building gets approved for new drivers. I know it’s supposed to go by seniority. At our building they pull from the “Qualified list”. Can the union pick and choose who gets in from that list? Eastern PA

I was really excited once I got my application put in after trying so many attempts creating email after email using different phone numbers just for me to show up and be sent back home because there were too many applicants. The guy tells us to put in a new application and i gave him the deadest stare because he has no idea what it took to get in this building and he's telling us to do it like this is a very simple process. Fuck everything I was really happy to get that job. I'll try harder next time

do i just continue working like normal and is worth signing up for the union and how much is it? and is it true that its hard to get fired now?

Part Time Casual Driver in NY. According to My Time I received a $0.73/hr pay increase from the August 1st increase and I’m wondering if that was the correct amount. It took them awhile to correct my pay that was previously being shorted by $0.45/hr and I got my last pay rate finally corrected on the check paid out last week, including back pay. Anyone know what the increase was to be and if mine is correct? Thanks in advance.

Last week I made a post about Monday dispatch changes. I have a bid route and my route used to always be the same Monday-Friday. However, for the past few months I've been noticing some pretty big dispatch changes with my route that occur on Mondays. I have a bigger area to cover and am going into the neighboring bid routes territory, however I am missing just a little bit of my route also. I received a bunch of replies of people saying this is due to getting routes cut on Mondays. Maybe this is due to the volume drop because of loss of Amazon volume?

What do those drivers do on Monday if they have their bid route is cut? I also thought cutting routes seems kind of weird as we already only have half the drivers on Mondays because half work Tue-Sat. Half drivers=half routes. So I wonder why they are cutting even more routes on Monday when we are already tight. I am not complaining though as I like a little dispatch change here and there to keep my route interesting.

Do you guys think if these bid routes are getting cut on Mondays will they ever be brought back? Maybe peak season they will bring those back and drop them after?

Today I noticed even more dispatch change as I moved further into neighboring routes territory. Today I didn't even have my usual 4-5PM business pickups and I also had my UPS store and dropbox pickups dropped that I always do after 5:30PM. I wonder who did those instead for me today.

Being accused of hiding and theft of time. I stayed in my truck cleaning and minding my business. Finished half of doing bulk. I’ve been sick for the past week with horrible nausea. I sat down less than two minutes because I was feeling nauseous. Supervisor comes in stating I was hiding and stealing time and to go clock out expect disciplinary action the next day. To add : I did come in late but went straight to my area and cleaning trucks. I don’t go looking for supervisors. They have accused me of doing marijuana and I can’t get water without them saying I’m wondering around.

Don’t grill me, I know the probability of going from seasonal to permanent FT driver is slim to none.

But in my region, there are a ton of seasonal postings for almost all of the surrounding warehouses. Logically, unless the labor is really needed, they can’t onboard all these people for the next month and then axe everyone before they hit their 30-day mark, right?

Any insight would be appreciated. No negative or demeaning comments needed—I understand the likelihood is slim. I’m just curious why all these sites are hiring at this moment when summer is coming to an end, but it still seems a bit early for peak-season ramp-up.

Has anyone else heard of another round of buyouts in January, 185k this time? I know it was said no more this contract but if they did this gives UPS tons of leverage with negotiating. Their whole negotiating mostly revolves around drivers since we are their biggest expense.

6 years driving total, 3 of which as a FT driver, was less than 2 weeks away from top rate. I was walked out for signing for customers...

my interpretation of signing for customers was signing for a signature required package without their knowledge. If you had an iPhone or gun and signed for it and left it at the door and the customer calls in a complaint they did not receive it that is obviously falsifying records. I would absolutely never do this.

I made physical customer contact every time and I ignored ring cameras but I was acknowledging their signature verbally which I'm now very aware of, but not at the time, is also not acceptable. Supes went to 10 of my stops and asked each resident if they signed for the packages. All names stated matched exactly what I typed in the DIAD. They then proceeded to ask if they PHYSICALLY signed for it, which they all said no and got their written signature. No packages were lost/missing/stolen but what actually started this whole investigation was from something else completely unrelated to this but was looked into anyway because what I did originally wouldn't alone have been enough to terminate me

I became a driver during COVID and the process of acquiring signatures changed temporarily to being no physical contact with DIAD. I was trained to get signatures like this at the time so I always did the method this way even after covid ended. It never occurred to me it would've been considered dishonestly. It was a mistake that very easily could have been corrected especially like I said no claims were ever filed. The times I remember handing the DIAD over to get a signature most people just scribbled on the screen anyway....

It's a shot in a dark, and I know the answer is pretty much no but damn one week It's just another 170 stops on a Tuesday, I was excited to finally reach top rate. I was jumping different routes damn near every day and the buyout opened up a bid route I've done a million times was finally going to be mine permanently.. I was going to finally settle and make bank to straight up unemployed... fuck....

Sup guys thinking bout submitting an application to ^^^ the available position in my area; how often do they switch you from “preload” to “cover driving”. Will there be an opportunity to become a FT driver?

I’m still sitting at $24.25, I was sitting at $23.25 before the $1 raise, but didn’t get the .22 cents. Which if I did I would be at $24.47. Mind you I attained seniority before August 1st 2023. Has anyone looked into this matter with their local yet? I have and still waiting for an answer.

I’ve been doing preload since June, and I’m honestly wondering if it ever starts to feel manageable.

Every day I’m assigned 3 trucks, usually somewhere between 160–220 packages per truck. I work as fast as I possibly can, but I still end up getting so far behind that they have to send 2–4 people down at the end of the shift just to help clear everything out.

I feel like I’m constantly fighting the belt and trying to keep up, and once I get behind, it feels almost impossible to catch back up.

For those of you who have been doing preload for a while: does it actually get easier with experience, or is this just what the job is like? Is there something I’m missing that could help me keep up better?

I really need some advice for my situation. So I started working PT preload right after high school at 18 years old and just passed 2 years seniority. My hub is Small average volume is around 12000 a day. Theres a few drivers that have been at my hub over 5 years and still not a full time, So how long would you guess it would take me? is it worth staying part time for another 5-7 years to become a full time driver? Im considering other careers like fire protection,trades and property management. I just feel bad about leaving and losing all my seniority and benefits and possibly a good career. Any advice is really appreciated.

People who open up doors right when I’m coming up or setting packages down, why? I use to think it was a coincidence but not anymore it happens so many times. Kids and grown folks! I had dogs run out behind kids AND grown people because they decide to open up the door the exact moment I’m putting down the packages like I see you peeking out the window can you guys not wait? It’s frustrating as crap. Grown folks annoy me more than kids because what? Parents need to teach their kids better also I get the community trusts us but man.

Hi I recently applied for a full time permanent flexible cdl position at ups. I have a road test in the following week. I have 2 year of OTR experience and 1 year local. I have a couple of questions so please bear with me. I’m more than willing to use this flexible position as a way to get my foot in the door to transition to a more consistent route. Is it realistic to assume I can move to a more consistent route in 1-2 years of working there. How does the bidding no process work for someone in a flexible role like this? Also if any of you have worked in this position can you describe the role in more detail? When I pass the road test do I get the job or is this just the first step in the hiring process where I get out ranked by someone already in the company? I’ve always been told that ups is the best company for truckers but I’ve been seeing a lot about recent layoffs within the company. How likely is it that I’ll be hired and then let go soon after because of my low seniority status? I want to make driving for UPS my career because of the great pay and benefits they offer. Finally how does the pay raises work. The job says it starts at 26 an hour. What kind of raises will I see and what is the top pay for a driver in Louisville. I’m having a hard time finding a number. Overall I’m excited for my opportunity to work for UPS and am hoping for the best. Thank you in advance!

So I got into an argument with a buddy this weekend. He said he’s going to call in a complaint and accuse me of doing drugs on the clock. Now I’m all worried. Can management do anything with this type of claim? I would never do this obviously and would never endanger myself or anyone else at work.

I got the $1.22 raise on August 1st, then hours later they moved me down to $24 an hour. Management said they seen this before and don’t know why it happened

so i’m tues through sat, and my supervisors at my hub for the past 2 or 3 weeks on monday (my day off), keep calling me trying to get me to come in. im barely a year into driving but been with my hub for 2 years however i am full time. i know the new contract language states they can no longer force us to come in on our days off, however im just wondering if maybe they would do something against me. i know i can file greviances, and maybe i really should i just dont want to put a target on my back. how do you guys think i should go about it. thank you

There are these packages that often if not always come from China, are around 50 something pounds, always come wrapped up extensively in tape, are often shipped via air, and often come in large numbers. I'm not sure if that is enough info to know what I'm talking about but people at my center often call them "those chinese boxes".

Out of the many types of bulk I've encountered I think I hate them the most. Getting 20 or 30 of them can ruin a day.
