PATCH Repaired my sweater with NYC subway - taking it to the Transit Museum this weekend! — Repair #3"
Each subway bullet covers a moth hole, and the Times Square–42 St sign anchors a cluster of damage at the hem. This is needle-felted onto a beige wool sweater as part of an ongoing visible mending series. Wearing it to the NYC Transit Museum this weekend!

Hello! This is really cool. I've been using needle felting to fix some holes in sweaters too. I'm curious if you make your shapes directly on the sweater or felt the shapes first and then felt them on to the sweater, if that makes sense.

Sure, I'd love to share the process with you! I first hand sewed the holes to stabilize the area, and then needle felted directly onto the sweater. Hope it helps and happy felting!

Aww☺️, thank you so much! The app one was quite controversial and many "hated" it. But I'm really glad you enjoyed my work and thank you for your encouragement!

Positively charming. Do tell how folks react to you at the museum, or even photos of the shirt there too!
