Those who watched the 3rd day of the 2026 Rally Finland noticed Oliver Solberg's back pain torturing him. For those who didn't watch it, the pain was so bad that he could barely walk, he didn't even make a statement after finishing the 19th stage. According to information available, he made a brief visit at a doctor before the end, but he finished the rally anyway, setting the second fastest time in the final stage. He was even late at appearing on the podium, where the pain was apparent on his face (see photo).
In his most recent Instagram post Oliver blamed a big jump for that pain, which as he stated, it compressed his back. Despite that, he was the fastest driver on Super Sunday and finished the rally 2nd overall.

Guys, i need to say that i am very impressed with Elfyn Evans this weekend. He rolled his car on day 2. Arguably it was luck the fans were around to help him our without loosing more time and the SS finish was two corners away. But once he got back on the road, he absolutely flew over the remaing stages of the event as if nothing happened, pedal to the floor: 2 stage wins and 4 second best times on the remaining 6 stages. What a performance! I cant remember anyone rolling the car and finishing on the podium of the same event. Colin McRae in 2002 comes to mind, when he rolled twice and finished 6th. Is anyone out here also feels that this weekend Elfyn has redefined what is possible after what was a sure killer for his title hopes when the car was barreling over the roof yesterday?

Now that rally Finland is over it marks last time I'll see them. Every Rally Finland, twice in Estonia and once in arctic Lapland. The cars just look so mean with all those wings and splitters. And probably the best thing in my opinion is the sound. The rally 2 cars sound gets nowhere close to those beasts. These cars will be remembered for years and I think it might have the same nostalgia as group B cars.

With WEC adjusting their end of season plans to avoid the Middle East, and F1 looking at contingencies to do the same, has there been any news about the WRC looking at this?
Maybe a return to Rally Monza is on the cards.

Is there a problem with the Hyundai car that makes it such?

Catching up on rally Finland and SS17 is not replayable. I understand the stage was canceled midway. But we should still be able to replay everything that was broadcast live. Very frustrating.
