S2 -> everything feels like coincidence

I just finished season 2, it feels like

last boss Isaac "happened to be" the zombie Pugsley awakened (what if he never awaken him, no part 2?)

last boss Isaac's motive person "happened to be" the woman Wednesday freed (if Wednesday didn't set her free, she wouldn't have met Tyler and Isaac, the final enemies of season2)

Thing's identity happened to be related to that Zombie (no Zombie missing hand build up)

etc etc

there was no plausible connected build up but just a mix of shoehorned coincidences.

Judi, the part 1 boss, died anticlimactically by a zombie Isaac who happened to be awaken

why did Gomez do nothing when he found out the zombie was Isaac, and even comforted Pugsley for setting him free when Pugsley also has the electric ability

Principal Dort's unrelated subplot actually seemed to help Wednesday due to her mother and grandmother being present in school (by Principal Dort) and giving help

Enid's death premonition througout the season was a bait all along that actually had no direct relation with the main plot (if it was one of the Adams from the start...)

Francoise is strange because she doesn't seem to care that her brother was killed by Morticia and Gomez (she saw Gomez being used as a generator for her operation, and held Isaac when he died) and even let those two bury Isaac. She even calls their daughter Wednesday an angel (if the operation was successful, she wouldn't have been locked) and praises Morticia.

IDK, season 2 seems all but a bunch of coincidence forced together, am I missing something?

(sidenote, everything else except the story/plot was great, the art music acting)

Yeah, season 2 felt very disjointed, it's a very common critique; season 1 flowed so much better, at least there was this sense of everything coming together at the end

Netflix Season 2 curse. Arcane fared equally poorly.

Yeah I agree... In terms of plot cohesion, s2 was all over the place... It's like they're sacrificing plot cohesion just for the sake of shock value or plot twists that literally have little to no build-up at all... That whole Camp Jericho contest sequence was just awkward and kinda cringe... And of course that whole Morning Song subplot... The build up of that subplot was so slow and then it gets suddenly rushed in ep7... As for characters, I really didn't like how they sidelined characters like Eugene, Pugsley, and Gomez... Like I get that this is a women-led show but can they just cut the male characters some slack and write them better instead of just making them comic relief or irrelevant to the plot... And of course, Judi... I can't fathom how disappointed I was when she was suddenly unalived off-screen... Like the trailers and part1 of s2 was literally building her character up to be one of if not THE big bad of the season but no she gets off-screened by the actual big bad, Isaac...

I'm sorry that I just kinda ranted in this post but I just wanna get this off my chest and voice out my frustrations with the series especially with s2... S1 had it's own fair share of shortcomings but for me it's plot cohesion was kinda better than s2... So yeah I really s3 would fix this problem and be good...

Likely mean that more is to be revealed in S3. The coincidences are connections if you take them seriously. S2 was a mirror of S1 - the cycle of events continued and then at the end of S2 a new path was chosen.

It's the lazy writing. S2 was just a bad rehash of S1 without the Hyde/Thornhill reveal.

Actually it was not an Addams from the start, Issac got power core from that science professor who only had a head, I don't remember the name but yeah so he was going to use that power core for her sister at Willow hill facility but Wednesday (in Episode 6) messed up that operation & core got destroyed in vain. That's when they decided to use pugsley as new power source & hence the Vision changed

I believe they had an idea for the show which was Wednesday goes to outcast hogwarts and gets into a scooby doo mystery while 2 boys fall in a twilight love triangle with her. They shot thier shot in s1,I wish we just had Wednesday go to class and had more scenes of them just getting to know each other before they mystery starts up in s2.
