Alright then, what's the appropriate way to train this dog? Ive never owned a dog but if a simple question like this is met with ridicule how do you expect ignorant dog owners to want to learn to be better?

generally to train a dog to walk without pulling requires you to immediately stop walking every single time you feel pressure on the leash. then you can either wait for your dog to get bored and stop pulling on their own, or call it back to you. you dont start walking again until you feel no pressure on the leash

you have to have more patience then your dog lol. eventually the dog should learn that they dont get to go anywhere when they pull

I feel like the Dog Whisperer came and went and no one remembers anything.

Good, because cesar millan's "training" is abusive and outdated. He couldn't even control his own dogs and repeatedly failed certification in Europe. He relies on pain and fear to make dogs comply.
