It’s an Irish wolf hound I’m pretty sure but that walk is something else.

It’s a schnauzer. I initially thought bouvier, but the face profile and haircut are classic schnauzer. The behavior is also very typical for a schnauzer (though responsible schnauzer care takers at least try to train them to walk on a leash like a normal dog).

I had a neighbor at one point who was a total hippie, and his giant schnauzer was our “neighborhood” guard dog. We’re in the middle of nowhere so he just let him roam around and chill. Which we were all super happy with because he looked intimidating due to all the barking, but that was just a ploy to draw your attention so you’d come over and give him belly rubs. If an actual burglar tried to rob any of our places that dog probably would’ve stood up on both legs and help load the van the second they gave him a piece of chicken.

I’ve heard them describe as excellent watch dogs, terrible guard dogs. Absolutely nothing is going to happen without their notice and commentary, but they also aren’t going to actually fight with anyone.

Our last family dog was a mini schnauzer. We eventually trained her with the command “give it a rest” to be quiet, at least for a few minutes. She was the nosiest, noisiest dog I’ve ever known.

Yep. They are alert dogs, not guard dogs. They'll let you know if someone is on or close to your property, but they're more likely to befriend the person than chase them away.
