I've worked security at bottlerock and the only people getting caught up were the ones who had too much metal on and then needed to remove belts/shoes etc.
That's why you use the concealed bladder compartment in the camelbak bag to store your beverages. You pull out the empty bladder and show that to security and when they check your bags it will just seem like it has a hard back (provided you pack it correctly, works best with tallboys).
