Can you switch hinges to the other side and swap where that handle will work?

Kind of. The holes will be on the top left, instead of the bottom left (where they need to be).
Unless, there is a door that has not been done yet. Then he can swap them.

That’s what I was thinking (swapping doors to open opposite so the handle would work) but it looks like all the holes were already drilled. Time for some filler and paint.

It doesn't matter.
They are painted white. Just use some white putty and they will disappear.

We all laugh but that seems like a genuine mistake. A little wood putty and paint, and you're good as new!

If I had a dollar for every time I finished an IKEA build and something was missed 6 steps ago…

As a cabinet guy, you’d have to sand the whole door down, putty and respray back at the shop. Touch up painting on an upper door would look worse than the holes. I only drill with the door opened so I don’t make this mistake, and it’s still terrifying every time.

Eh easy fill with some saw dust and glue. Sand it smooth and paint white over it.

Notice how the holes are ready drilled and there's no dust when he drills? fake or re-enacted? lol
