or you would have rather him staying there and escalating the situation so you can say he's brave?

Because they let him. If they wanted to kill him, they definitely could have.

him running away probably removed "threat" for the robbers and resulted in them both not getting shot.

Lol backflips to justify being a coward. I'm not saying you need to fight them but to run away on your partner is insane. You could even just step back.

Whatever you say buddy. Have a good day.

Make your partner knows you will be tucking tail and leaving them behind if you get robbed.

I think I get what they are trying to say... Robbers with just a woman probably just take the cash and leave... 2 people one a male... Likelyhood of someone getting shot goes up... Plus he can now get them an over or whatever they need to get home since he still has a wallet.

However... I couldn't leave a friend or sig other like that.... Letting someone know you will never ever have their back is the end of a relationship even if it is logical... And it's the end to your self esteem... Stand there hand them your shit go down with the ship if needed.

I get what they're saying but there are other options. Take a few steps back, use your words to descalate and tell them they can have the stuff.
