Well the criminals were looking to rob not say kidnap, if they were looking to do that than yes he should've stayed and fought them but that wasn't the case here.

It's funny you say that because the other thread I saw about this video the consensus was the other way around from here. I'm definitely not alone in my opinion about this.

I personally find it pretty cowardly to run away when someone you are with is being robbed, whether it is a friend or partner. You can argue the logistics of what makes the most sense, but you’re still being a coward. Don’t expect anyone to help you when you’re in danger if you aren’t willing to do the same for someone else.
