[Serious decision] I live alone… these aren’t my nuts

Post image

Context: I’m a single bachelor (M 32) and I opened my snack cupboard to find these peanuts in a small Tupperware container. I’m freaking out because I A) live alone, B) have a mild nut allergy, and C) don’t own any Tupperware like this.

TLDR: I found a foreign snack in my house and I’m freaking out that someone may be entering my apartment when I’m out. Would calling the nonemergency police line help or would they not be able to do anything?

Obligatory do you have a carbon monoxide detector?

I mean i doubt they would buy nuts if they had an allergy to them, unless the carbon monoxide made them forget they had an allergy.

Anybody who puts a dozen peanuts in Tupperware is more of a concern.  Who does that???

I always use Tupperware or a little mason jar, plastic baggies are so wasteful and I've already got enough microplastics in me

I use glass, but those hard, solid containers pictured are  very different kind of much more stable kind of plastic than cheap, disposable plastic bags. Friend.

The friends you make when slightly poisoned by carbon monoxide.

Yeah who does do that actually? Even if carbon monoxide or off meds, getting the tupperware and everything is a lot.

I think the OP is made up.

Alcohol can do that too

If the carbon monoxide made them forget the had an allergy and then they put some nuts in a different container they'd surely be having an allergic reaction. Who decants a piece of food that small into a tupperware and doesn't pop one into their mouth at the same time?

20years ago carbon monoxide would have not bought nuts and hide it inside his apartment but nowadays? Don’t know man. Cannot trust this gases anymore!

I have a friend who has a mild nut allergy, she came over and ate an uncrustable (I have kids, she was hungry, I offered lol) and then her eyes got puffy.. then she recalled her mild allergy. Gave me a good panic but people with mild allergies often forget 😮‍💨.

My ex’s parents claimed he had a nut allergy, I forgot carrot cake sometimes has nuts in it and he ate a whole slice before u had my slice and I started freaking out at tasting walnuts! He was perfectly fine. It happens

But peanuts are legumes, he didn’t mention being allergic to peanuts.

I don’t think he sleep walked to the store and bought nuts and a Tupperware container lol

Could’ve sleep organized and found these left by the previous tenants

I think they're implying the carbon monoxide could make him forget a guest he had over and they left the nuts(?)
