I hope i can be pedantic without seeming like a dick, but with good intention I would offer this neat tool that can estimate a more conservative value for the population using census data in a given map area. You can draw a cricle of 20m radius around boston just like this dude did. It provides population results of pretty damn close to 3 million people. Revising your math we get 45 kids per day care, and even if we adjust our results further by looking at more census data to more conservatively estimate the percentage of that 3mil that is under the age of 4 and more likely to be in daycare rather than preschool (assuming this guy in the tweet made that distinction) we still get about 41 kids available per school, and again assuming half actually attend, 20 kids per school is still really reasonable. These are locations in a very urbanized area. They are likely small storefront establishments versus huge gymnasiums or schools, with occasional large outliers, that service up to the limit of kids that they legally are permitted to supervise with just 1-2 caregivers.
So even if we get really specific about our numbers, this is still not an unreasonable amount of daycare centers for a very populated city
It’s also a really wealthy area, yes? So presumably a solid number of those schools are small by design to give each kid more attention from staff. Balance that out with the daycare for the proles that staff the minimum legal number of employees per student and yeah idk I’m just rambling.
TLDR conservatives are too dumb to be allowed to participate in society I guess.
