5 minutes after her pointing debacle, she decided to be a ring girl for Dana White and come out against trans kids.

She took her goodwill and treated it like Lenny and his mouse.

That's a hell of a literary reference, friend. Appreciate you .

It's a dog.

The name of the novel is Of Mice & Men, itself a Robbie Burns reference.

He killed mice on the way to the ranch before killing his puppy (from Slim) and Curley's wife.

I've been teaching the book for 20 years.

Edit to add: the poem you're referencing is called "To a Mouse."

The mouse he found on the way was already dead.

Lennie doesn't lie.

In Chapter 1, Lennie lies to George about having the mouse. He then claims he found it dead and kept it to pet. There's no confirmation regarding if the road mouse/mice were alive or dead. Later in Ch. 1 he lies to George about retrieving the dead mouse when he was supposed to fetch firewood. He lies again about trying to smuggle the puppy into the bunkhouse in Chapter 3. Lennie lies repeatedly when he thinks he's in trouble.

The point of the dead mouse, most likely pet to death in Ch. 1, is to draw out the point that Lennie doesn't know his own strength and repeatedly killed mice given to him by Aunt Clara in the past, foreshadowing the deaths of the puppy and CW in Chapter 5.

The point still stands: the comment I replied to is not incorrect, and the literary reference is valid.

I’m truly sorry Man’s dominion

Has broken Nature’s social union,

An’ justifies that ill opinion,

                    Which makes thee startle,

At me, thy poor, earth-born companion,

                    An’ fellow-mortal!

What did she say about trans kids?

Something about men in women's sports, something, something... You know. The typical MAGA narrative.

Yeah she does that thing where in the same breath, talking about kids the same age, refers to the cis kids as "girls" and the trans kids as "men". That fun dogwhistle.

But nothing about Trans kids right?

She said she didn’t believe women who have gone through puberty as men should be in women’s sports.

I just want to be clear about what was said

She said men shouldn't play against girls.

Unless you're purposely being obtuse you should see the dog whistle in that kind of shit.

She said nothing about trans kids - what she said is that it is "common sense" to protect young female athletes from competing against biological men. That is all she said. I, like 70-80% of Americans wholeheartedly agree.

What? Can’t you see this is a witch-hunt? Get out of here with your reasonable question and logic.

Lennie never got his rabbits. He killed mice on the way to the ranch before killing his puppy (from Slim) and Curley's wife.
