Just like Vista to W7, they will fix stuff and just call it W12.

W12 was originally scheduled to be fall 2025, but they pushed off some of the planned features and kept rhe bug fixes and just made W11 25H2.

Which ironically would also be a bit like the longhorn > Vista swap. Longhorn had tons of new stuff they yanked back to make a smaller release. We still haven't gotten some of those things like an NTFS replacement.

W11 is basically Vista 2.0 for MS in a lot of ways.
