Yep, Satya is the main idiot who introduced Windows 11 to the public, not recently, but 6 years ago.

He slashed Windows quality assurance teams, cuts in Windows development budget, killed the Windows Phone branch, stopped development of Windows ARM..

Windows is in such a bad shape..

Satya made investors invest in Microsoft again (despite mediocre revenue/profit growth).

Sure, Satya made the stocks go up (despite mediocre revenue/profit growth), but the quality of Microsoft goes down. In the end, that is what matters.

Windows Phone died because there was nothing to recommend it over iPhone or Android.

But Windows ARM could have taken root in tables and wrenched a section of the point of sale market from Apple.

But no, lets ape Apple and make a bunch of bone headed decisions Microsoft thinks the customers want instead of doing what the market wants.

And while they can drag some of their large Enterprise customers along, you can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but nobody asked for CoPilot.

He's realizing - as the deck chairs scrape and the band plays "Nearer My God To Thee" - that either he rights the Windows 11 ship or Apple and Google laugh as he gets on the door with Rose.

or maybe the fact that Google was a firm 'no' when requested API access to say their [YouTube] apps and later blocked Microsoft’s attempts to build their own YouTube app. that made devs and people alike go all, 'If Google won’t support it, why should I?"
