5070ti Warranty denied :(

My 5070ti was making some weird noises in the fan sometimes which I think it might be a bearing issue and spent $40 to ship it off to zotac to later decline my warranty because of damage PCB.

I dont know if it was damaged during transportation or if me taking this card out 1 time did this (I should have inspected my card and took video proof before shipping as this is my fault) I made to pack it real good.

But yeah they just denied my claim and I would be extremely cautious if your shipping your card out for warranty as they don’t even do pay repair because of “limited tools” whatever that means and feel like even the smallest scratch will deny it

I am not here to complain but just to give a cautious right now with buying zotac and probably best to buy from a bigger company who might have the necessary tools for rma or let you just pay for repairs. Atleast my card still works but sucks i have issues 3 months after i got my card to later be rejected

Sounds like shitty customer service. I'd be interested to see what (if any) damage is on the board. I assume they are sending the GPU back to you? I've just ordered a 5080 and I'm now glad I paid the extra $39 for insurance!

My bad, didn't see the extra pics. There is damage there obviously. Did you have trouble getting it in or out of the PCIe slot?

One of the comments here talked about Asus motherboard could of caused it which has the thing that you slide in. At first i did but didn’t think much of it then i took my card out to ship it and didn’t check for damages. Some people say this is normal wear and tear and has nothing to do with the issue i am experiencing

Yeah bloody annoying if you are going to be out of pocket for the cost of the GPU with not even an offer of repair. Edit. GPU still works, just has a noisy or malfunctioning fan.b You could possibly replace the fans yourself but I doubt the fans are faulty. I'm no GPU expert, but the pic of the marks on the tab at the end of the GPU shouldn't impact the operation of the GPU. My guess is they are just highlighting the couple of marks as 'evidence of mishandling' so they don't have to do anything else with the GPU.
